FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: 13th August 2025
The Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Charity Golf Tournament, Swing to Serve, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025, at the Lilongwe Golf Club.
Organised as part of IMM’s Annual Conference Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the tournament aims to raise funds for the procurement of essential medical equipment for Salima District Hospital, one of the key referral facilities serving communities in central Malawi.
The tournament is not only a platform for networking among Malawi’s corporate and marketing professionals, but also an opportunity to drive real social impact by contributing to the health sector.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Lilongwe Golf Club Vice Captain, Mac Nyanda, said:
“We’re excited to host the Swing to Serve Charity Golf Tournament at Lilongwe Golf Club. Participants can look forward to a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, excellent networking opportunities, and the satisfaction of knowing their efforts are helping save lives. This is more than a sporting event; it’s an opportunity for Malawi’s corporate community to unite, showcase its generosity, and create a tradition that blends sport with social impact.”
IMM is inviting corporate organisations, brands, and individual well-wishers to support the initiative by sponsoring teams or contributing to the cause. Sponsorship details are as follows:
- Sponsor a team of 2 players at MWK 200,000
- Organisations may sponsor multiple teams
Proceeds from the tournament will go directly towards the purchase of critical equipment identified in consultation with Salima District Hospital.
To register or sponsor, interested parties are encouraged to contact IMM on +265 98 347 8843.
