
The Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) was invited by the MUBAS Marketing Student Society (MASS) to their welcoming function held under the theme: “Establishing the Foundation – A Pathway to Marketing Excellence.”
The event aimed to engage, inspire, and motivate Malawi’s future marketing professionals as they embark on their academic and professional journey.
During the function, IMM President George Damson, accompanied by the Director of Communications and the secretariat, interacted closely with the students.
Mr. Damson encouraged the young marketers to build strong foundations for their careers and personally boosted their spirits by sponsoring the IMM membership fees for 10 MASS students. He also generously provided 3 tickets to the upcoming Women in Marketing Brunch Event, scheduled for 28th March 2026 at Ryalls Hotel in Blantyre.
The Director of Communications, Mr. Daniel Ngwira further energized the atmosphere by hosting a lively competition, with winners receiving various IMM regalia and memorabilia. In a delightful surprise, he introduced musician Paul Kachala, who delivered an exciting live performance for the students.
IMM recognizes the critical importance of grooming and empowering the next generation of marketers. As part of its ongoing commitment to the development of the marketing profession in Malawi, the Institute aims to intensify its efforts in supporting the professional growth of young marketing talents across the country.
