The Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) is gearing up for this year’s Annual Marketers Conference and Excellence Awards Gala which will run from 31st October 2024 to 2nd November 2024.
The Conference will be held at Sunbird Nkopola under the theme: “Innovate to Elevate: Leveraging Technology for Marketing Success”.
Here is the Full Speaker Line-Up for our upcoming Conference:
1. Themba Nkuna
Themba Nkuna is the Founder and Managing Director of Sell Smarter, a consulting company that provides bespoke solutions around Data Analytics, Al Innovation, and Technology to help partners solve modern challenges. He hosts the sought after Sell Smarter podcasts and speaks at various regional forums.
Themba graduated from the University of Pretoria with a bachelor’s degree in information science and he is a Sales and Customer Success Expert who continues to work with sales consultants and leaders from corporates in financial services in South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Malawi, and Kenya.
2. Nanzala Mwaura
Nanzala Mwaura is the Chief Growth Officer at Ipsos Sub-Saharan Africa, based in Kampala, Uganda.
She has over 25 years of Marketing and Research experience that cuts across various sectors, including media, FMCG, financial services, and telecommunications. Initially based in Kenya, Nanzala worked in the Eastern African region for 8 years and then moved to South Africa for 17 years.
Her areas of expertise are market understanding, market-entry, and segmentation studies, creative testing, innovation, brand health tracking studies, media monitoring, and audience measurement.
3. Chinga Chaguluka
With over 20 years of experience in information technology, Chinga Chaguluka has established a reputation for leadership, innovation and transformation.
In his current role, Chinga leads a team of IT professionals responsible for implementing cutting-edge technological solutions to drive business growth and efficiency. Their work has been instrumental in spearheading the development of innovative technologies that have significantly impacted this company’s bottom line.
An advocate for diversity in technology, Chinga is committed to promoting professionals in the IT industry and the nation as a whole.
With over 15 years of visual design experience working in various countries & sectors across the globe, including Upstream Oil, Aviation, Media and Finance to mention but a few, Akinribido John O. is responsible for creating mind blowing designs, animations and web user-interfaces that effortlessly blend branding, messaging and functionality.
Asides Design, John has expertise in programmatic advertising; experience with SSPs (Google Ad Manager – GAM/GAM360), DSPS (GoogleDV360, MediaMath, AdForm, Eskimi, SmartyAds), Native (Taboola, OutBrain), Social (Facebook/Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter, TikTok) and other tools like Analytics (Google Analytics – GA360), Campaign Manager, AdSense, GoogleAds.
John also assists clients with digital marketing strategy, data visualization/analysis and audience segmentation/targeting.
5. Jose Alfaro
Jose Alfaro is a seasoned marketing strategist with expertise in digital automation and cost-effective technology deployment. An experienced visual designer with a demonstrated history of working in the consumer services industry, Alfaro also boasts extensive expertise in social media strategy implementation and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Currently working at Sabin Vaccine Institute, Alfaro leverages Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) to revolutionize communications workflows, enhance campaign precision, and maximize ROl – even on a tight budget.
